Meet Charmaine - owner of Wildflower
Hi, I’m Charmaine! I started my hairdressing journey at 16 with a four-year apprenticeship in Wellington, New Zealand, followed by three incredible years working alongside one of the top hairdressers in the country at the time. My passion for hair has taken me far and wide, living and working in England and throughout Europe, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing different salon cultures, meeting amazing people, and exploring incredible food and destinations along the way.
Travel remains a huge passion of mine, but hair is always where my heart is. I’m constantly learning, attending at least a couple of courses every year to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and trends, ensuring my clients always receive the best. I’m proud to work with Cor Colour by O&M, one of Australia’s cleanest colour ranges, and Mr Smith, a brand close to my heart, also proudly made in Australia.
The name Wildflower Hair came to me while admiring the beautiful, untamed wildflowers of our hinterland. Friends often describe me as a wildflower, and I loved how it perfectly captured the effortless, natural beauty I aim to bring to every client.
Whether I’m behind the chair or exploring the world, my mission is the same: to create hair that feels as authentic, free, and beautiful as the person wearing it.
